Ethical Considerations and Framework

These ethical considerations and framework are a living document. â€‹

I welcome any questions, concerns, and feedback about how I can better support your journey while maintaining appropriate boundaries.

The exploration of worth is complex and often challenging.

I'm committed to walking this path with you, blending professional expertise and human understanding to the work we do together.

Embracing Difference

In our work together, you may encounter perspectives about worth, value, and financial wellbeing that differ significantly from your own.

You may meet ideas that challenge your fundamental beliefs about money, success, or growth.

These differences might reflect various cultural, economic, or philosophical frameworks—

some of which may feel uncomfortable or even troubling to you.

We invite you to approach these differences not as obstacles to overcome, but as opportunities for deeper inquiry.

This practice is a site of research that welcomes questions and unknown outcomes,

rather than predetermined answers about what constitutes financial success or personal worth.

Beyond Binary Thinking

Our approach to worth and value aims to create space that holds more questions than answers—a space that is:

Nuanced rather than absolute

Complex rather than simplified

Emergent rather than predetermined

Both ancient and new in its wisdom

Both challenging and nurturing

Some may view our approach as too radical in its questioning of traditional financial frameworks,

while others might see it as not progressive enough in challenging existing systems.

We suggest there are possibilities beyond these binaries.

Multiple Perspectives

My practice is intentionally multi-perspectival,

drawing from diverse understandings of worth and value

beyond dominant materialist-naturalist Western financial paradigms.

While we recognize the importance of standard financial planning principles, we also create space for other ways of knowing and valuing, like:

Various cultural approaches to wealth and worth
Different frameworks for understanding value
Local and global perspectives on resources
Indigenous, lineage-based wisdom about stewardship
Alternative economic models and possibilities

Navigating Power and Protection

We acknowledge that the financial industry has historically:

Excluded certain communities from access to resources
Privileged certain forms of wealth over others
Created barriers to financial wellbeing for many
Perpetuated systems of inequality
Narrowly defined what constitutes "success"

While we are deeply committed to addressing these inequalities,

we also recognize that prescribed solutions can sometimes reinforce the very systems they aim to challenge,

which is why this work seeks to:

Honor historical and ongoing inequalities
Question dominant financial narratives
Explore alternative sources of power and worth
Notice when discomfort arises
Create space for individual discernment
Support authentic transformation

Commitment to Learning

As a practitioner, I remain committed to my own ongoing learning and growth.

This means I will:
Acknowledge what I don't know
Question my own assumptions
Remain open to new understanding
Recognize the limits of my perspective
Continue ongoing professional development

Holding Complexity
We create space for different narratives about worth and value to coexist, even when they appear contradictory.
This could look like:

Traditional and alternative financial approaches
Individual and collective perspectives
Material and immaterial forms of wealth
Professional expertise and personal wisdom
Practical tools and philosophical inquiry

Engagement Guidelines

Our work together is framed through:

Provocative questions rather than definitive answers

Exploration rather than prescription

Inquiry rather than certainty

Practice rather than perfection

Dialogue rather than doctrine

We welcome healthy investigations to our approach, distinguishing between:

Constructive dialogue that strengthens understanding

Critical inquiry that deepens insight

Authentic disagreement that promotes growth

Engagement that honors all participants

Important Disclaimers

While we do our best to create a container for meaningful exploration, we cannot guarantee:

Specific financial outcomes

Freedom from discomfort

Agreement among perspectives

Universal solutions

Complete safety

If you require spaces and partnerships where all participants share the same philosophy, outlook, or approach, this practice may not serve your needs.

Your Invitation

This is an invitation to:

Engage with curiosity

Question inherited assumptions about worth

Explore beyond familiar territory

Honor your own wisdom while remaining open to new information

Participate in creating new possibilities for relating to value

The journey of exploring worth beyond convention metrics involves risk, uncertainty, and potential discomfort.

We commit to walking this path with professional integrity while honoring the complexity of the territory we're exploring together.
